Safety routines
Drop-off and pickup
A teacher hands each child to you at the room door. We release a child only to the people on your pickup list, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.
Allergies and the kitchen
Tell us about any allergy at the tour. Once you enroll, we ask again in private, and the cooks and teachers each have the list for their room.
Cribs and sleep
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cribs, with nothing else in the crib.
Clean hands
Every room washes hands on arrival, before meals and after outdoor play.
Drills
Each room practices fire and weather drills with the teacher who leads it.

The license
What our license means, in plain words
What it is
New Jersey licenses child care centers through the Department of Children and Families, Office of Licensing. A licensed center follows the state's rules for staffing, space, health and safety.
What the ratios are
The ratio is the number of children one teacher is responsible for at a time in a room. Each room's ratio is on this page and on the programs page.
How to see ours
Our license is at the front desk and its number is at the bottom of every page of this site. Ask to see it at the tour, and Xiaoling will go through it with you.
